January 14 Windows Movie MakerWell after months if not years of telling Bern that i would play around with Windows Movie Maker i finally did today, and it's pretty fun. I have got the files but cant add them to the blog.. so hmm.. will work on how to get them up and let you see them soon. January 07 Happy Belated New YearWell I havent realy looked at this old thing in a while so i thought as i have done many a time before to do something to make this a little more current.. Unfortunately all my ideas require effort and as its a sunday afternoon i really can't be bothered as yet.. Maybe i'll take the camera out and take some photos or something later on and update this page.. so for now.. Happy New Year - 2007.. and watch this space.
Carlous September 10 Roast Chook and Voodo SpellsLast night we had Jenny over for a roast which i cooked up. I have a habbit over overcatering for the number of people that are eating. We had a massive bowl of potatoes, pumkin and parsnip that was still 1/4 full after my third helping, about half a bowl of left over peas and a carcus that didnt really have that much meat left on it. The food was awesome (if i must say so myself) especially the gravy that Cam made up. We followed dinner with the traditional Splice Ice Cream dessert. After which the popcorn and movie began. I cant remember the name of the movie but i know i didnt like it. It was about this chick that went into this house to help this old couple (the man of which had a 'stroke'). There is a young lawyer involved who turns out to be in with the old lady in trying to put a voodoo spell on the young nurse. Unfortunately Voodo doesnt work if you dont believe in it so they bascially freaked the young chick out till she 'believed' then used a spell to transfer the old lady into the young chicks body.. It was a bit jumpy, but im scared of my own shadow so that may not be a fair estimate of the true 'fear factor'. Anyhow if you are thinking of seeing a movie like that, dont. September 09 Xrays, Bone Scans, CT Scans and an MRII just uploaded a few select images of the series of scans that i have had done for my back over the past few months. I had the Xray's done first which show minimal scoliosis at the upper thoracis spine that convex's to the left. Even though that showed no fractures i still had alot of pain so i had a Bone Scan done which had a moderate increase in update of the radiopharmecutical in the body of T7 and T8 which suggested stress fractures. After that i got the CT Scan and MRI scan done, each of which was inconclusive. I thought i'd put he pictures up as i couldnt fine any scans really on the net, so hey, why not put my innards on the net for one and all to see. August 24 Raining in MelbOh my god it's like winter has saved all its wind and rain and dumped it in one day. Sure the rain is only drizzle but its caught by the wind and is really cold and suprisingly wet for the look of it. The photo is from the train near melb zoo. It looks nicer than it is. Almost home now. Can't wait to have i nice hot shower and warm up. Thank god it's friday tomorrow. June 23 The joys of the laundromatWell it's that time of the week again and i'm sitting at the local laundromat watching my clothes go round and and round in the dryer. I missed watching the wash cycle as i went and had bacon and eggs at the bakery on the corner. The next place i live at will need a laundry cause i can't be stuffed sitting here staring into space for much longer... So Let's go buy a washer and dryer. Talk later people. June 21 My first mobile BlogHey I've just realised that i get loads of free emails from my mobile phone that i never use. I also found out that i can update this site by emailing from my mobile. So why not. So from now until i get sick of this new toy I'll be updating whenever something cool happens. Check this space for further live updates. May 18 uni overloadWell its 1:13am and i am screwed... ive been working on this dam assignment all day and i feel ive gotten absolutely nowhere.. so im going to go to sleep now cause i am finding it very hard to focus on the screen... anyone know anything about something, let me know and i'll write it down.. arh.. sleep... i want sleep! May 01 Friday night drinkiesWe had another in the series of Friday night after work drinks this week at Bimbos on Brunswick St. As per usual i got to my drunken state pretty early in the night but we all had a good time.. the hangover i had the next day tells me i had a pretty good night. Cam introduced the concept of f**k bands to people from work (if you dont know about them, dont ask) which enlightened them... only 1 person admits to breaking a band that night, but anyways thats another story all together. April 22 eight earlies ... day offAfter 8 earlys (ok so one of them was a mid, and there was a day off in there too) i finnally have a day off and i slept in till the late time of 9am.. oh well... I've just been surfing the net all morning, i finaly got the song that i hear every time i fly 'Babycakes'. Its pretty gay buy meh, i like it. My flatmate is away for the weekend so cam is coming over to stay with me.. yay! Ive got lots of assignments to do, but i think i'll get into them on sunday cause i really need a few days to just chillax. Anyhow, msn webmessenger is cool cause i can use it at work (probably not supposed to, but meh.. bite me). Anyhow im gunna go do some more chillaxing and listening to music! April 17 ten hours sleep...Amazingly i had a 10 hour sleep last night and feel really good after it. Went to sleep at like 830, woke up at 6.. (so im kinda short of 10 hours, but yeah). I had work at williamstown from 7am and the day went really smoothly.. Normally after a morning shift at williamstown im asleep as soon as i get home, but i feel rather refreshed still... so yeah.. YAY for me! Cam was at work today too, wonder how his day went.. Anyhows... i think i need to get more sleep each night cause i feel great after it! April 14 Computers.. great when they work.. flipping annoying when they dontI spent most of tuesday cleaning and setting up my room so that it can actually be used instead of just being a giant junk storage unit. My desk is now neatly set up, with my computer and laptop both having desk-space (which is an amazing feat for me). So now ive got all this setup it would be great if my PC would stay on for more than 20seconds without crashing! Fortunately i have my laptop otherwise i'd be screwed.. but it is really pissing me off that all of a sudden my computer is playing 'lets screw with carl'. Maybe its the change in weather, or its having its 'time of the month'! How am i supposed to be a nerd when i only have 1 computer out of 3 working! HELP! April 11 The new GatewayWell this is my first blog on the MSN space. Its kinda cool cause its like easy to use and you dont need to use all that much brain power to figure it out.. oh yeah.. and you get a little star next to your login when you have updated it so people can just go and look every day.. hint hint.. Anyhows im going to get back to making this place a little more personalised! |
